NOW IN its sixth season, the open-air Petersfield Shakespeare Festival (PSF) continues to attract an impressive cohort of professional actors to perform in the grounds of Bedales at Steep.
Chris Hollis, who has completed a two-year run as Bill in the UK Tour of Mamma Mia!, returns to PSF to play the Duke of Exeter in Henry V and Petruchio in an exciting new adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew. Harrison Rose is in the title role of Henry V.
The festival also welcomes back Joy Brook who will play the iconic role of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. Best known as DC Kerry Holmes in The Bill, Joy has appeared in many of the nation’s favourite television shows.
The 22-strong company of actors have come from far and wide to deliver imaginative productions under the guiding hand of PSF’s artistic director Jake Smith. Since leaving his role as resident assistant director at Chichester Festival Theatre, Jake has worked as associate director on Breakfast at Tiffany’s on tour and in the West End.
Henry V will play from July 18-24 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday, July 21, at 2.30pm. The Taming of the Shrew, adapted by Laura Turner, will play from July 25-29, at 7.30pm, with a matinee on July 28 at 2.30pm.
