Charity shops have been among the organisations sprucing up their premises in Petersfield.
Cancer Research UK was one of the early adopters of the Petersfield Society’s Spruce Up Your Shopfront campaign.
The goal of the campaign is to support an economic and social rebounding of the whole town by making it a more attractive place to visit and shop through clean-up activities.
Campaign spokesman Andrew Hicks said: “A local painter did a lovely job of brightening up the Cancer Research UK shop front in Chapel Street.

Petersfield Society volunteers have also weeded the frontages of the charity shops and the premises of voluntary organisations in the town centre.
Andrew added: “The society would like to thank all the organisations and businesses which are looking at their premises with fresh eyes and taking action, however small, to tidy them up.”
The Petersfield Society is also inviting more residents to get involved in efforts to smarten up the town, and volunteer for either picking up litter or helping weed shop fronts and pavements.
