PEOPLE keen to grow their own vegetables are invited to take an allotment in Sheet.
There are a number of vacant ones in Mill Lane, says Sheet Parish Council, who manages them.
They come in two sizes, about the size of a tennis court (10 rods), and smaller five rod areas, about half the size of a tennis court at 150 square yards.
A council spokesman said: “An allotment is an excellent place to get fit, enjoy the outdoors, and be able to grow really tasty vegetables.
“And other allotment users are there to offer advice, if you need it.”
The council will organise for them to be rotavated before tenants take them over.
