ANARCHIST cooks, fun-loving puppies and a wedding without the wobbles.

It’s all in the entertaining mix in the new season programme just unveiled by The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon.

Comedy highlights include George Egg with his touring Anarchist Cook show on February 18 at 8pm, when audiences can sample a three-course meal cooked on stage, and Edinburgh Fringe sell-outs Croft and Pearch (April 22, 8pm).

The theatre is continuing in its tradition of welcoming ground-breaking and challenging shows, including The Eulogy of Toby Peach, which comes to the venue on February 4, at 7.30pm.

This tells the tale of one man’s journey with cancer from diagnosis to remission, relapse and treatment. It’s an honest and inspiring exploration of modern science and the human body, and a celebration of life.

An array of children’s shows are included too, including Stopgap Theatre’s Night at the Theatre (March 4, 2pm) – a fun, family adventure about the amazing things that can happen at the theatre.

And pre-schoolers will love adorable puppy Oskar in Oskar’s Amazing Adventure about his quest for friendship in the wilderness of the Alps. This is on March 18 at 2pm.

Everyone loves a June wedding, and Our June’s Wedding is a unique experience from Theatre Exchange, now booking for June 3. This will be held at St Matthew’s Church in Blackmoor.

It’s a play that isn’t quite a play, and a wedding that really isn’t, but with the warmth, anticipation and wobbles of both.

There are loads of great workshops and classes at The Phoenix too – from kids’ drama and youth dance to Zumba for all.
