BRAMSHOTT, Liphook and District Horticultural Society held its first show of the year in the church centre.
The setting drew a magnificent display of daffodils, tulips, camellias, flowering shrubs and spring flowers at the event on Saturday.
The society’s secretary Ann Haussauer showed everyone how to grow and exhibit wonderful daffodils.
Her expertise meant she not only won the Tony West Salver for her delightful display of nine miniature daffodils, but also picked up the Ted Baker Best in Show Cup for her perfect specimen daffodil.
In addition, she was awarded several firsts in other classes.
The show secretaries were pleased to see entries from new exhibitors, and Valerie Haye was surprised to be placed in a couple of classes.
Judith Patrick was given an onerous task judging the photographic class entitled Sunset and awarded joint firsts to Brian Simmons and Ian Baker.
There were cakes for sale in the afternoon, including a new cake called Hummingbird which sold out very quickly.
