ARTISTS have been digging deep into their creative processes for an exhibition inspired by the excavations on Petersfield Heath.

They have collectively come together as the Heath Artists and their work in response to the explorations of the Bronze Age burial mounds can be seen in the Community Gallery at the town museum until Saturday, July 15.

The show coincides with the final digs on the Heath, now ongoing, in the four-year People of the Heath project, which has so captured the interest and imagination of residents and people from further afield.

There is a range of work on display, from watercolours to digital video.

“It’s a wonderful array of different media and is a lovely way to show the archaeological project in a different light,” enthused the museum’s learning and community engagement officer Rosalind Norrell.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.

An entry fee applies to adults and children go free.
