ELVIS Presley’s hit songs will be livening up the winter evenings this week when Petersfield Theatre Group take to the stage.
Following the success of Annie Get Your Gun last May, the popular musical theatre group will be getting hips swivelling with their rocking performances of All Shook Up at the Festival Hall from today (Saturday).
Set in the United States of the 1950s, this funny and moving jukebox musical, featuring more than 20 of Elvis’s hit, is bound to get the audience’s toes tapping.
Songs include Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog, Can’t Help Falling in Love and many more.
With a book by Joe DiPietro, based on the plot of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, All Shook Up tells of one girl’s dream and a surprise visit from a leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger who help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power of rock and roll.
Performances are at 2.30pm and 7.30pm today.

Fans of Petersfield Theatre Group can look forward to their production of Sweet Charity, which was first staged on Broadway in 1966, scheduled for May next year.
