EAST Hampshire residents can catch a new-year bargain as South Western Railway is releasing 300,000 discounted off-peak tickets for travel until March 8.

Customers who sign up through the website www.southwesternrailway.com/register before next Tuesday can access the deal.

Standard class tickets will be priced at £8, £10 or £12, depending on the distance being travelled, while cut-price first-class tickets will be available for £12, £16 or £20.

Tickets also qualify for two-for-one entry to more than 150 attractions across the capital, including the London Eye and London Dungeon.
