BEDALES headmaster has offered his congratulations to students awarded places at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Yale University in Connecticut, USA.
Head of Bedales Schools Keith Budge said: “Congratulations to our students for these offers. They will be great contributors to their new institutions as they have been to the Bedales community. I am sure they will be well prepared for the academic rigours of their studies.”
Rachel Forsyth will study English at Pembroke College, Cambridge, Octavia Paterson has a place at Christ Church, Oxford to study Philosophy and Psychology, Nancy Powell’s will study Theology at Oriel College, Oxford and Lilly Samarine has an offer to study French and Russian at Wadham College, Oxford.
In addition, Lucy Ellis has secured a place at Yale University to study Liberal Arts, majoring in Modern Languages.
And former head girl Sam Harding has secured a place to study Human Social and Political Sciences at Newnham College, Cambridge. She is currently in Berlin honing her language skills having spent three months organising a conference at the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and the Humanities, Bard College, New York.
Budding script-writer Emily Swettenham has secured a place to read English at Girton College, Cambridge.
Jamie Murphy has a place at Queen’s College, Oxford to study English, he is currently working at the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
