IF YOUR children love the great outdoors take them on a summer holiday outing to Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) Arundel Wetland Centre where they can become young rangers.

On arrival they will receive a free wildlife ranger log book packed with everything needed for a day of adventure around the stunning site which teems with wildlife.

They will be able to go on a wetland boat safari through water meadows and reeds, follow a geocaching tracking trail, become a mini-beast detector, weave with willow, and learn junior warden skills.

Children are encouraged to record their findings and experiences in their log books, as a real ranger does, so they have a reminder of their wild day out.

The centre is home to an amazing range of some of the world’s most dramatic and rare birds.

And there is the chance to get up close to them and to study them in comfortable hides. There are also exciting play areas, special events and waterside cafes.

It is fully accessible with buggy-friendly pathways.

Opening hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm daily.
