EDINBURGH Festival favourite and television regular Andrew Maxwell provides big name billing for Petersfield Comedy Club.

Andrew is heading north of the border for his 22nd year at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, and is testing out material in a 45 minute set at Folly Upstairs on Bank Holiday Monday.

Club organiser Chaz Collett said:?“He’s funny, he’s been on the telly loads and he’ll have you rolling with laughter.

“Quite simply, he’s an act that it’s rare to manage to get to the club and the opportunity should not be missed to see him in such a small, intimate environment.”

This is the first of the club’s Edinburgh Preview season, with two comedians dropping by each month to road test new shows on the Petersfield audience.

The Edinburgh Fringe is a international showcase for comedians and to make their mark there gives their career a huge boost.

Opening the evening’s entertainment is the cheerful and upbeat Ben Van Der Velde, who is bringing his show Sidekick to town.

Tickets are £6 in advance from the Folly Bar (downstairs), and £7 on the door. The show starts at 8.30pm.
