Staff and volunteers at a family support charity based in Petersfield town centre have given a big thank you to donors following a record-breaking response to an annual appeal.

Times may be tough for a lot of people but local support for HomeStart Butser is stronger than ever judging by the response of their annual Big Give Appeal.

The Winton House charity which supports struggling and vulnerable families on both sides of Butser set an ambitious £20,000 target in the week-long appeal with the final total being match-funded.

But the charity’s highest-ever target was reached in record time with three days to spare with the combined £43,755 total covering nearly a quarter of their annual running costs.
