MORE than 25 horse riders and a crowd of foot followers enjoyed the South Downs Bloodhounds ‘hunt’ on New Year’s Day.

During the day, the bloodhounds took part in three hunts, tracking three human quarry at Park Farm, Avington.

A spokesman said: “The hounds stuck to the trail, following the human scent of the quarry, and had a good day and hunted very well.

“The riders enjoyed 16 jumps, it was a fantastic day and we would like to thank the landowners for allowing us to use their land.”
