The group held a beginners’ running session at the festival to give people a taste of what runnyhoneys is all about. It had such good feedback the group is launching a club in Whitehill and Bordon which is becoming increasingly popular amongst local women.
Founder of runnyhoneys and Run Leader Sue Browne said: “The Spring into Health festival was an amazing event which enabled us to launch runnyhoneys in Whitehill and Bordon.
“We had a lot of fun with the five women who took part in our taster session; they all seemed extremely keen on our concept. We then announced our Couch to 5k course and were completely taken aback by the level of interest.
“Since the festival, we have had to ramp up to three sessions per week to satisfy the demand and now have 33 runners who are in their third week of the course. It’s fair to say that runnyhoneys is in Whitehill and Bordon to stay.”
