THE TALENTS of artists based in Buriton will be on show again for this year’s village art trail this Saturday and Sunday.
More than 20 artists are busy preparing a wide variety of creative arts to delight new and returning enthusiasts to see their works.
A short circular route guides visitors from the Five Bells pub, where a trailers’ lunch and art in the Morgue are on offer. Across the road is Buriton Village Hall where half a dozen artists will show a diverse range of work and afternoon tea will be available.
Trail followers can stroll past the pond to the bottom of Bones Lane where outdoor arts and crafts demonstrations will be on show. Next to that will be a group of potters and craftsmen.
Further along the lane at Hoploft Sculpture Garden quirky, thought-provoking sculptures can be seen.
A short walk down the link to North Lane leads to an intriguing Garden House with a variety of art work on show.
Visitors will be delighted this year by the variety of demonstrations and opportunities to ‘have a go’ and try various art forms from pottery, chalk carving and making natural plaster casts.
The Turnup Prize exhibits, which are open to all the parish to participate, will also be on show. The event is open from 2pm-6pm on both days, visit: www.buriton.info for details.
