Buriton resident Karen White is aiming to lose her ‘lockdown bulge’ by walking and cycling around the village for 24 hours in aid the Rosemary Foundation.

The Buriton parish councillor said: “My Buriton Challenge seemed the perfect way to raise money for a fantastic local charity and ‘banish the bulge.’”

Over the past ten years, she has raised funds by completing several fundraisers, including the Moon Walk in London for Breast Cancer, Brave the Shave for Macmillan, and a sky dive for Home Farm Trust for those with learning difficulties, but says this is by far the most challenging event she has undertaken.

Accompanying Karen will be Dean Tricker, but she would welcome anyone joining her for any part of the 24-hour challenge, starting at 10am this Saturday at 3 Glebe Road, and finishing the next day at midday on the recreation ground.

To sponsor her, visit the website at https://www.justgiving.com/team/buritonchallenge21 or email [email protected], or The Five Bells in Buriton has sponsorship forms and a collection pot. The duo will also carry a collection bucket.
