A discussion at Bedales School in Steep on The Power of Bursaries heard from panellists who had been educated thanks to bursaries

The many benefits were highlighted by the panellists, two Bedales upper sixth students, a Bedales teacher, and a retired independent school head, who said bursaries ‘open doors to a different world,’ and also help schools make a meaningful contribution to society.

After the event, a Bedales student said: “We discussed how the benefits and experiences that an education like Bedales can bring should not only be limited to those born into privilege and wealth, but (through bursaries) should be available to those who would benefit from it most.”
