NEW FIGURES show 970 new apprenticeships were taken up in East Hampshire last year.

In total, 3,180 apprenticeships have been started in the district since 2010. This rise, of eight per cent in the South East in 2014-15 from the previous year, has been welcomed by East Hampshire MP?Damian Hinds. He said it meant young people were improving their future prospects.
