A NEW cafe has opened in Station Road at Liss.
Turtle Bean Cafe has opened on the site of the old Bar 41 Wine Bar and Coffee House at 41-43 Station Road.
The new cafe is owned by husband and wife Colin and Debbie Eyers.
Turtle Bean Cafe joint-director Colin said: “We formally opened in January and we’ve had brilliant support from the community.”

Plans submitted for 30 new homes in Liss - but where's the affordable housing? Before opening the cafe last month, Colin and Debbie had to do a lot of work at the end of last year to get the cafe ready for its opening.
Colin said: “We have completely changed the cafe and have redecorated it.
“The electrics needed completely doing, and a new boiler had to go in. We have also changed the colour of the walls to red and beige.
“We have produced a much fuller menu, and have taken the trouble of getting the best range of coffee we can find.
“The only thing that isn’t finished is the back yard, but that is the next project here.
“That will be a job when the weather improves to create a nice area, as we have got quite a big area at the back.”
Turtle Bean Cafe has a clear family feel, although Colin has also employed people from the community.
Colin said: “It is very much a family business as my wife and I are running the cafe, and our daughter Ellen is also working here full time.
“We have also taken on four local staff.
“We’ve got a website with photos on, and our daughter is running our Facebook page, which has had a really good response.”
A morning coffee offer at the cafe has already proven to be popular.
Colin said: “We do fresh takeaway coffee at a special price of £1.80 before 9.30am every weekday morning, which has been very popular with commuters.”
Turtle Bean Cafe is open from 7.30am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 4pm on Saturdays, and 10am to 3pm on Sundays.
