IT’S THE perfect place to get your five a day but staff at a greengrocers in Petersfield town centre also had a handful of reasons to celebrate on Saturday, April 2.

Happy Cow founders Ian and George Constable-Dakeyne weren’t feeling ‘melon cauli’ as they brought out the birthday cake to celebrate five years in business.

The couple, who lived in Sheet when they launched the Lavant Street retailer in 2011, partly set up shop to provide an outlet for local producers.

“We started in fairly hard economic times so the fact we’re still here five years later is a credit to our staff and very loyal customers,” said George.

“It’s developed into quite a family business because George’s mum does the books and my dad does the van driving and collections,” added Ian, who also thanked customers and suppliers for their loyalty.
