OPENING hours have been cut at the post office kiosk in Clanfield’s Southern Co-operative food shop.

The kiosk at the White Dirt Lane store is now open only on Mondays from 9am to 5pm, Tuesdays from 9am to 4.15pm and Saturdays from 9.45am to 12.15pm.

Southern Co-operative said: “Having analysed the current levels of service provided by the post office kiosk at Clanfield, the main days of use are Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.

“Outside these days, colleagues from the kiosk will be joining store colleagues, enabling the majority of post office services to be available from the main till points.

“Post office services will be available for the duration of the store opening hours and colleagues can re-open the kiosk between 9am and 5.30pm if needed.

“We will also keep a close eye on service levels in the run-up to Christmas.”
