A LAW firm in Waterlooville has raised £3,920 for charity this year after taking part in a will-writing campaign which asks lawyers to write wills for people in exchange for a donation.

O’Hara Solicitors took part in the annual Will Aid scheme in November last year and, taking into account the eight other years it has participated, the firm has now raised a total of £29,970. This year’s sum means it is the fourth highest raising firm in the scheme in Hampshire.

Robert James O’Hara said: “We are delighted to have raised such a lot of money for such a worthwhile cause. Will Aid has allowed us to give back to both our community and nine great charities. We would urge other law firms to get involved in 2017.”

Will Aid, now in its 29th year, is a scheme which raises money for charities, including ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid and The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
