EWE know spring is just around the corner when lambing begins at Butser Ancient Farm (BAF).
The team welcomed their newest additions over the weekend as a set of rare breed Manx Loaghtan twins were born in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The sheep can have up to six horns on their head and the word “Loaghtan” in Manx for ‘mousey brown’ a reference to the natural colouring of their wool.
Most of the ewes in the BAF flock are also pregnant so expect plenty more arrivals before the end of March, with the farm opening from 10am to 4pm every Monday to Friday.
