Hundreds of runners of all ages tackled this year’s Butser Challenge.
Last year’s run was cancelled and this year organisers had only a few weeks to advertise it, as they were unsure what restrictions would be in place come run day.
Once the go-ahead was given, regular sponsors Churcher’s College and Macdonald Oates solicitors and organiser Alan Shons swung into action to make sure it went ahead.
The annual run, first put on in the mid-1970s with help from Post reporter Glyn Williams, raises money for local charitable causes.
Around seven local schools send teams, while independent individual and group entries come from many other schools.
Adult runners also take part in their own longer, harder run, that is classed as a ’fell run’.
