MUSIC in magical, atmospheric places – including The Great Roundhouse at Butser Ancient Farm – is the idea behind Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin’s Out of the Ordinary tour.
The acclaimed folk duo are taking their shows, which support their eagerly-awaited third studio album Watershed, off the beaten track, into venues including ancient caves and Swindon’s Steam Museum.
They are hoping their turn in the award-winning Butser building on Saturday, May 27, at 7.30pm, will be a truly memorable evening, with the surroundings adding to their emotionally-charged and personal performance.
Watershed, a collection of 12 original songs, centres on the idea of turning points.
The duo’s musical style has always been unusual, drawing on influences from many regions, so it seemed fitting to them to hit the road and explore the wealth of diverse places which makes up our island’s rich history.
Phillip is one of the UK’s finest guitarists and harmonica players.
He has created a powerful musical connection with fiddle playing singer Hannah, and the pair have quickly become established favourites on the nation’s folk circuit and beyond.
Tickets cost £14 and are available at www.heardandseen.com/events or by calling 07580 105571. Also visit website www.butserancientfarm.co.uk
