IT?WAS a wrap as another very successful Sheet Film and Arts Festival came to a close.

The three-day event organised by Sheet Film Club and the Queen’s Head pub showcased the creative talent in the village, in art, film, dance and music.

There was a continuous showing of films submitted for the big screen in the village hall.

Awards for these were presented on the outside stage and the winning team was Henry, Edgar and Florence Siggers with their technically clever offering I’m a Dark Lord.

Second came Jeannie Morgan with her delightful Slappers, and third was Sheet Rock by the Crock Rockers, made up of Maddy and Noah Tigwell, Hattie Bond, Zahra Williams and Maddie Bond.

Another film winner was Rachel Dobson.

The event opened with an evening barbecue and music from Mark Vennis’s band on stage outside the Queen’s Head, followed by the showing of old black and white films supported by piano and percussion.

There was an art exhibition in the Hartley Barn at the Old Post Office with many of the exhibitors currently at, or having been to, prestigious art colleges.

Children aged from six to 13 from Petersfield Academy of Dance presented dance routines, and there was singing by pupils from Sheet Primary School.

The Lion and Unicorn Players gave a Shakespeare-based show, and there was more music from bands including Big Red Ass, Dreamweaver, Whistle?Test Revival and Abuncha.
