The Liberal Democrats will resume their series of non-political talks at a new home in Petersfield next week.

Kerry Hearsley will shine the spotlight on the “Work of unpaid carers in our society” when she speaks in the Winton House Café from 2.30pm next Wednesday.

The guest speaker, who is chief executive at the Princess Royal Trust for Care based in Portsmouth, will attempt to highlight who the carers are, what services they provide and the environment they work in.

The impact of unpaid care on both parties and the current support available will also be examined in the group’s first talk since the Lavant Street fire forced the closure of their previous meeting place in One Tree Books.
