THE?CASH-STRAPPED Kings Arms Youth Project in Petersfield, which helps vulnerable children, has received a “generous” donation from Persimmon Homes South Coast.

The money, from a £24,000 pot the house builder dips into as part of its ‘Community Champions’ scheme, has been welcomed by King’s Arms operations manager Caroline Lacklison.

“Thank you to Persimmon Homes for this generous donation. With this funding we will be able to continue our support for these children and carry on giving them the help they need.” The aim of the group is to bring together young people aged 11 to 19 with similar difficulties and help them be more independent and confident, with support, trips (pictured) and activities.

Financial concerns are looming for the group with lottery funding running out in December.
