MORE than 70 friends of a Petersfield busker who sadly died recently came together to celebrate his life with music, food and drink – and launch a fundraising drive for a commemorative bench.
Busker Colin Fogerty suffered died shortly before Christmas, and in his memory, a floral guitar was placed at his favourite busking spot, the entrance to Rams Walk shopping mall.
At the celebration on Saturday, January 7, in the Phoenix Theatre in Bordon, a fundraising drive for a commemorative bench on Petersfield Heath was launched.
His sister Lisa said: “The day was full of laughter with people sharing stories and memories from his school days through to his last few years in Petersfield, where he lived and busked.

“He enjoyed walking on Petersfield Heath and said that he would like a bench there so that people could remember him whilst they enjoy the view.”
