A GIANT timber brown bear is the focal point for festive selfies at Wylds Farm in Liss this Christmas – but first he needs a name.
The new mascot at the family-run farm has been created by local sculptor, Quincy Rabôt, and Wylds Farm is running a competition to name the bear and win a Christmas tree.
After taking a bumpy tractor and trailer ride across the farm, visitors can pick either a Nordman Fir or Blue Spruce and watch as it’s felled. A log cabin, bar, barbecue sausages and bacon baps, gifts, and wreath-making workshops all feature at the farm this year.
Wylds Farm, run by Nick and Sophia Rook Blackstone, is a small acreage farm committed to growing quality and sustainably farmed Christmas trees and their aim is to make picking the tree a fun and memorable event for all to enjoy.
Wylds Farm is open seven days a week until Wednesday, December 23. Visit www.facebook.com/wyldsfarmchristmastrees.
