Dreaming of a green Christmas as Petersfield group offers discounted fruit treesAs reported last week, the Post has stepped in to ensure an event will be held in The Square to mark the start of the festive period in the town.
This will be taking place from 5-7pm on Friday, November 27, and will include carol singing, festive songs played by a band, Nativity scene and stalls selling a selection of Christmas gifts.
Shops in the town centre will be encouraged to open late for the evening but another important part of the event will be the stalls of local groups.
They will have the free chance to show people what they do and raise funds for their work.
It’s easy to take advantage of this offer, just contact the organisers to book a place. For enquiries about stalls or for general information about the lights switch-on event, e-mail [email protected] or call the Post on 01730 232600.
