A PETERSFIELD cafe owner has answered a prayer by offering to cook for the elderly and disabled.

Jorge Villalon has volunteered to cook a meal every week for six weeks at the Petersfield Salvation Army Hall in Swan Street, while Captain Linda Read of the Salvation Army is away.

Linda said: "I didn't have anyone trained in food hygiene who came forward so it is a real answer to a prayer that Jorge is doing this.

"It's amazing that he's willing to do this for the community and it would have disrupted the routine of the people who come to the meals if we had to stop it for six weeks."
