THE World Women’s Day Ladies’ Choir will be performing at St Peter’s Church in Petersfield on March 7 – the day before International Women’s Day.
Created by Petersfield-based choir director Rosa Malone, the choir has practised “inspiring and empowering songs” at The Square Brewery in Petersfield on Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm since January 15.
Rosa said: “It’s a fun, social and uplifting group. All of the proceeds of the event will go to the charity Refuge, which supports women and their children in situations of domestic abuse. I’d really like to be able to raise a good sum for Refuge.”
