A Christmas cracker of a concert in a Petersfield church has raised £1,240 for a town centre charity.
The Mayor of Petersfield, Cllr Chris Paige, was among the many churchgoers who raised his voice for the Petersfield Community Choir in St Peter’s last Wednesday, December 3.
The church was packed for the Sounds of Winter concert with the choir treating the lucky audience to a programme of festive and seasonal favourites.
They were led by popular musical director Ysanne Bonner while talented local guest artist Fleur Ash provided support.
A retiring collection raised the aforementioned figure for the Winton House Centre with Cllr Paige joining the charity’s manager, chair and vice-chair in some carol singing on a night of fun and laughter.
