ST JOHN the Baptist Church in Greatham held its first ever Christmas Fayre at the church last Saturday.

The Rev Dom Clarke, who is the Rector at St John the Baptist Church, said: “It was busy all the time with a steady stream of people coming through.

“We raised £170 for the church, and everybody said how nice it was to look around the church. It was a nice community event.

“I met a few people who were in the church for the first time, which was good for us to see as the church is a community building.

“We had lots of Christmas gifts and decorations, handicraft, paintings and photography at the fayre.”
