MORE THAN 600 students from across 16 schools in East Hampshire attended sessions on the power of debate at a number of free citizenship sessions run by East Hampshire District Council. As well as learning how to debate, children also took part in a straw poll and a mock vote. Topics debated included abolishing the Monarch and leaving the European Union.
