The temperature may be dropping but a bid to keep people warm this winter is hotting up at Free Shop Petersfield.

The good cause based at Petersfield Station has launched its annual Winter Warmers appeal to find new owners for unwanted coats and cold weather clothing.

Residents with unwanted or unused coats, hats, gloves, scarves and other winter items have been encouraged to leave them at a drop-off point at the library before Saturday, October 25.

And there’s a reward – as people who fancy a new coat in return can choose a new one at Free Shop Petersfield between 10am and 3pm on Sunday (October 26) for nothing, although donations will be welcome.

It saves money, helps the environment, and keeps our community cosy.
