LISS Parish Council has organised a consultation event for later this month for the new West Liss pavilion on Station Road.
The consultation event will be held at Liss Village Hall from 2-4pm on Saturday, November 26.
All Liss residents are invited to come along and give their views on the pavilion.
And Liss Parish Council chairman Keith Budden is encouraging as many residents to attend as possible.
Cllr Budden said: “We hope lots of people will come along and give their views.
“We have a number of options to present. We are not necessarily restricted to option A, option B or option C, as people might like bits from the different options.
“All three options are based around a timber construction, and timber does offer us a lot more flexibility.
“We want to know what design people would like to see. We also want to know if people want the kitchen to be closed off or open plan.
“The open plan kitchen has worked well at East Meon and it does make the building feel bigger in the inside.
“People in the kitchen also feel more part of events and not closed off.”
With previous attempts to get the new pavilion not coming to fruition, Cllr Budden is aware that time will soon be running out for the project.
Cllr Budden said: “Realistically this is probably our last shot at getting a new pavilion, and we want to try and get it right.
“We got criticised last time so we want people to tell us what they want and raise their issues with us now.”
With the Crossover Youth Centre moving to the old St Mary’s Church Hall on Station Road, there is the opportunity for youth groups in the village to work together.
Cllr Budden added: “It would be nice to form a youth hub with the Crossover and Liss Scouts.
“We’ve got Liss Scouts on board and we have had good dialogue with the Crossover throughout the process.”
