PETERSFIELD Town Council is inviting groups in the town from all walks of life to take part in an Edwardian music hall evening which will be part of the commemorations marking the centenary of the First World War.
Cllr James Deane said: “We are looking to have as many aspects of the community represented as possible.”
Councillor Phil Humphries is working on the show which will be put on in the Festival Hall with artistic and music directors Ruth Hiller and Tony Blackford.
He said: “We are inviting groups to sing, dance, perform sketches, in fact anything that might have been seen at the music hall. We envisage a show that captures the stoicism, humour, sadness, and celebration of that time.”
