EAST Hampshire District Council chairman Keith Budden handed almost £3,000 to the Crossover Youth Centre in Liss and Dementia Friendly Petersfield, his chosen charities for his year as chairman.

The coronavirus pandemic has seen him agree to continue as chairman until May 2021, with Cllr Adam Carew remaining as vice-chairman.

Cllr Budden said: “I am delighted to give cheques of £1,425 to the Crossover Youth Centre and Dementia Friendly Petersfield, as these wonderful charities do so much good on a daily basis.”

His chosen charities for the coming year are the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and The Rosemary Foundation.
