AFTER installing electric car re-charging points in its car park at Penns Place, East Hampshire District Council is to buy an eletric car and van.
The council is promoting electric vehicles as a low carbon alternative to petrol and diesel vehicles, and has pledged to install a network of charge points across the district.
Buying the two eletric vehicles is part of a move by the council to become a leader for energy-efficiency.
