East Hampshire District Council has thrown its support behind a fantastic new family festival to be held in Kingsley.

Fest in the Field is a one-day family festival involving schools, a choir competition and pop sensation Lemar.

A schools’ choir competition will see entries from Bentley, Binsted, Bordon Juniors, Chawton, Rowledge, St Matthews, in Blackmoor and The Butts, in Alton.

MP Damian Hinds will present the winners with their trophy and choir experts and music industry insiders from the BBC, Rock Choir and Amery and Eggar’s school will be on hand to give plenty of praise.

The Breeze radio station will host the main stage and breakfast show presenters Jez and Lou will introduce the choirs and acts, headlined by pop icon Lemar.

All profits from Fest In The Field go towards raising £113,000 to build a much-needed classroom at Binsted School.
