The Hampshire Country Sports Day at Bereleigh Estate near East Meon is all set to go ahead on Sunday, September 12.

The news comes now pandemic restrictions are lifted, allowing organisers to finalise a wide range of ’have-a-go’ activities, like clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing and archery, as well as 80 stalls, and a wide range of food and drink stands.

In the main arena there will be gun dog displays, an insight into trail hunting by the Hursley Hambledon Hunt, and a falconry display.

Chris Green the Countryman will be demonstrating wildfowling, alongside fishing demonstrations by world-famous angler Charles Jardine, and the popular inter-hunt relay competition will be run.

The New Forest Hunt, the Hursley Hambledon Hunt and the Hampshire Hunt will be there, as will the Sandhurst and Aldershot Beagles, and Teckles and Sealyham Terriers.

The Family Dog Show is open to all, with classes including Prettiest Bitch, Handsomest Dog, Best Child Handler, Waggiest Tail, Scruffiest Dog and Best Puppy.

The Coursing Crew are running the Lurcher and Terrier Show, and the Gun Dog Scurry competitions are open to all breeds of gundog.
