LIPHOOK and District Businessmen’s Association (LiDBA) held a successful charity quiz night at the Millennium Hall.
The event attracted a full house of 20 tables, each with five or six contestants who enjoyed some mind boggling general knowledge questions set by quizmasters Chris and Carol Meech.
Participants enjoyed some food at the halfway point of the evening, washed down with drinks from the busy bar, and the prize draw included donated prizes from the Old Thorns Hotel and the Deer’s Hut.
The winning team was the CrikQuizzers from Lynchmere Cricket Club, who won with a score of 63. Lynchmere Cricket Club won the best hat competition. They received six bottles of wine as their prize, which had been donated by the General Wine Company.
Conford Village hall were second with a score of 59, closely followed by Liphook Village Hall with a score of 58.
The proceeds from the evening will go to the charities represented on the night who were: Bramshott Educational Trust, Conford Village Hall, Frensham Pond Sailability, Liphook and Ripsley Cricket Club, Lynchmere Cricket Club, Liphook in Bloom, Liphook Village Hall, Liphook Carnival Committee, Liss Heart Charity Trust, Liphook Over 60s and the Petersfield Society for Special Needs.
