IT'S THOUGHT the 2015 election is the first time St Peter's Church has taken centre stage in local politics.
The Norman church in Petersfield Square opened its doors as a polling station for the first time in its 700-year plus history at 7am on election day, Thursday, May 7.
One of the first to vote in the holy hush of the church was James Tracey (32) of Petersfield before going to work.
He said: "I always vote, and I believe everyone eligible to vote should do so....
