IT?MAY?have been soggy underfoot thanks to a Saturday morning downpour but the British spirit shone through at the Meon Springs Country Experience Show.
Around 3,000 people turned out for the event at Whitewool Farm, East Meon, which was extended to both days of the weekend this year for the first time.
“The conditions were challenging but everyone had a great time as ever,” said owner Jamie Butler.
The show focuses on country activities such as fly fishing, clay pigeon shooting and archery, and, thanks to show sponsors the Hendy group, fairgoers could enjoy a 4x4 ride on the farm. For animal lovers, there were dogs, sheep, ferrets, horses, falcons and cows, and children enjoyed bushcraft.
