A TOURIST from Liss left a museum just minutes before Islamic State gunmen stormed the ancient palace, killing 23 visitors.

Gavin Stoddart and Steve O'Donnell from Hillbrow Road were enjoying a cruise aboard the Costa Fascinoa ship when it docked in the Tunisian capital, Tunis.

Five of the ship's passengers died in last Friday's attack on the Bardo Museum in the city.

Speaking to the Post the day after they arrived home, Gavin (43) said: "We could see the museum entrance from our coach. It was very busy, lots of people going in and out....
