A MURAL to brighten up a disused doorway arch at the front of Petersfield station was unveiled on March 7.
It is the work of 11-year-old Petersfield girl Roisin Pearce Glynn, who won last year’s ‘Design a Door’ public competition held by the East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership.
The mural features a deer to depict the countryside around Petersfield.
Within its body are many of the main attractions in and around the town.
Judges felt it best met the criteria for promoting Petersfield and the surrounding area and welcoming visitors to it.
The partnership’s rail officer Mark Miller said: “I am delighted with the winning entry, which really brightens up a previously blank wall.”
