A GRAND opening was held for the Dementia Friends Cafe at the Triangle in Liss as part of Dementia Awareness Week in the village.

The opening event was held from 2-4pm on May 19.

Activities on the day included a sing-a-long with Elsa Donovan and partner, information on balance and stability exercises, a South Downs massage, and a fun and inclusive exercise taster session with East Hill House Residential Home.

Triangle manager Sally Tanner said: “The opening event was very successful and we had a really good mixture of different activities on offer for people.

“Elsa Donovan did some singing and we had about 50 people who came along.

“A lady was giving hand massages and East Hill House Residential Home were running exercises to music. It all went really well.

“We are planning to run more events in the summer in June, July and August.”
