Dog and duck event in Liphook raises £685

THIS year’s dog and duck event in Liphook was well attended, despite the awful weather which greeted visitors.

Three hundred plastic ducks were cheered on as they raced down the river in various heats, and the final race was won by Marnie.

The event was organised by the Friends of Liphook Junior School and was held at Radford Park.

The winners of all the dog show categories were entered into the final competition, where Harriet and her dog Nellie won best in show.

Organisers thanked Kiri from Paws in the Pink for judging the dogs, Small World Pet Centre for donating prizes and Hidden Seasons for providing a tent to house children’s games. The event raised £685 for the infant and junior schools.
